The Negri Sembilan Malaysian Property Expo (Mapex) will showcase 1,630 properties worth a total of RM459.2mil during the three-day event in Seremban this weekend.
Themed “Accessible and Affordable Quality Living”, the expo organised by the Real Estate and Housing Developers’ Association (Rehda) Negri Sembilan, aims to provide potential buyers with a variety of quality properties at affordable prices.
MAPEX NS will be held from May 20 to 22 at Seremban Parade and features 20 developers exhibiting properties including single and double storey terraces, single and double storey semi-detached homes, bungalows, shop houses, shop offices as well as industrial and commercial lots.
Rehda Negri Sembilan chairman S. Sivanyanam said those keen on owning a property, especially first time house-buyers, should visit the three-day fair and take their pick from the properties offered for sale.
“First time buyers should take advantage of the government’s newly-introduced ‘My First Home’ ownership scheme and buy their homes now.
“Under the scheme, first time buyers can obtain 100% financing which would be a big help to them,” he said.
Via the scheme, young adults below 35 years earning less than RM3,000 per month can obtain 100% financing from selected financial institutions for houses costing between RM100,000 and RM220,000 with a repayment period of 30 years.
Sivanyanam said house prices in the state have already increased by between five and 10% over the past few years and would continue to rise due to rising costs.
“Those who are keen on investing in a property should grab the opportunity to do so now before prices go up.
“The expo makes it easier for potential buyers to select properties of their choice. There will be 20 developers exhibiting under one roof,” he said.
Some of the developers will also be offering attractive incentives such as rebates and discounts during the period.
Sivanyanam said the organisers were targeting RM20mil in property sales based on figures recorded by participating developers from previous years.
“Usually, the hottest properties are the double-storey terraces and we expect the same trend to repeat this Mapex.
“However, there are plenty of other properties for sale for those who prefer semi-D’s or bungalows,” he said, adding that Rehda NS is expecting about 5,000 visitors to the expo.
Prices range from RM94,888 for a shophouse to RM1,400,800 for a bungalow.
The properties for sale are located in Seremban, Seremban 2, Senawang, Sendayan, Sikamat, Labu, Sungai Gadut, Pajam, Mantin, Rasah Kemayan and Seremban 3.
Buyers who purchase properties during the expo stand a chance to win a 32’’ LCD TV, home theatre system and other attractive prizes in a lucky draw.
While the adults shop for their choice property, children will be entertained with magic shows and clown performances on May 21 and 22.
The expo is co-sponsored by Nippon Paint (M) Sdn Bhd.
